This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea serrata Omacha is well known in Japan for its beauty and because of the sweet taste of its leaves which are used as an infusion. Lace-cap flowers usually pink in summer.
