This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea serrata Beni-gaku is a lace-cap Hydrangea growing to 1 metre with the ovate dark green leaves going to red as they age. Flowers appear in June/July opening white changing to a beautiful red as they age.
