This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea quercifolia Pee Wee - Oak leafed Hydrangea Pee Wee is a compact low growing deciduous shrub with oak shaped green leaves in spring summer turning bronze yellow purple in autumn. Produces conical white flowers from July to September. Shelter from cold dry winds. Hardy. Best in part shade. Good for small gardens. 

Eventual height up to 1-1.2 metres and spread up to 1 metre.
