This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea qercifolia is a deciduous, mound forming shrub with mid green leaves turning bronze-purple in autumn and pinkish-white flowers in summer. Prefers well drained humus rich soil in sun to partial shade with shelter from strong winds.
