This Hydrangea paniculata is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season in early autumn it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring from April.

Hydrangea paniculata Perle d' Autumne is a deciduous slender branched shrub with pointed ovate green leaves turning red orange in autumn. Produces loose panicles of white flowers through July, August and September turning pink in autumn.
