This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla Rembrandt Elegant Blue is a compact hydrangea with very long lasting bright mop head flowers on strong stems which changing colour throughout the season. The flowers open white in summer slowly turning blue at the centre. As the season continues the edges become blue eventually covering the entire flower. Then finally in autumn the flowers change to a bluish purple colour. Suitable for part shade or full shade conditions. Good to use as cut flowers. Flower colour is dependant upon soil pH on alkaline soil flowers will be pink.
