This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea macrophylla Red Baron (Schone Brautznerin) is a compact deciduous shrub with broadly ovate glossy green leaves. Produces rounded balls of rosy red pink mop head flowers in summer. The flowers can turn bluer on acid soils and needs a part shaded position. A good Hydrangea for tubs and pots.
