This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla Nikko Blue is a medium sized mop head hydrangea with serrated edged medium green leaves. Large dense bright blue balls of flowers from June to September. Sometimes the large flowers may bend the stems of the plant. Flowers need acid soil for blue colour. Part shade. 

Eventual height up to 1.2 to 1.5 metres.
