Small flowers are pink on alkaline soil and varying shades of blue to deep purple on acid soils.

This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla Hopcorn is a deciduous shrub with dark green leaves. The mop-head flowers produced in summer have small incurving petals that remind one of lilac flowers. Flower colour is pink on alkaline soil and varying shades of blue to deep purple on acid soils.
