This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla Hobergine has pale pink mop head  flowers in shade on a neutral or alkaline soil but darker if in shade. On an acid soil the flowers will be violet in shade and aubergine purple in full sun.
