This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring

Hydrangea macrophylla Freudenstein is an upright bushy deciduous shrub with dark green foliage. The mop head flowers are pink in summer. However if grown on an acid soil they will be mauve to purple.
