Hydrangea macrophylla
This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea macrophylla Cherry Explosion is a compact bushy hydrangea with green leaves turning burgundy red in autumn. Large flat vibrant cherry red lace cap flowers open in summer lasting through to autumn. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Very hardy and rich flowering variety. Flower colour will be lavender or violet on acid soil types. Suitable for part shade conditions.
Eventual height up to 0.9 to 1.2 metres.
