This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla Black Steel Zsasa has fresh green leaves in spring darkening as they mature. Long lasting large blue mop head flowers in summer. The black stems give additional interest in winter. Needs acid soil.
