This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydrangea macrophylla So Long Starlit Aya is very compact in habit with strong black stems of unusually shaped and slightly variegated leaves. Bright pink or blue marbled white very large flat flowers with curly petals in summer. Flowers are resistant to hot conditions and have a long lasting flowering period during the summer. Shade or Part shade conditions. Flower colour is dependant upon soil type on acid soil flowers will be blue and alkaline to neutral flowers will be pink.  Hardy to -15°c 

Eventual height and spread up to 0.6 - 0.8 metres.
