This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea aspera Villosa is a deciduous, erect, shrub with dark green leaves and blue-purple flowers in late summer. Prefers well drained humus rich soil in sun to partial shade with shelter from strong winds.
Eventual height and spread up to 2 metres.
