Hydrangea aspera
This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea aspera subsp. sargentiana ia a medium sized, deciduous shrub open in habit with large ovate dark green leaves. Produces large flat blue-purple flowers surrounded by white in late summer. Prefers well drained humus rich soil in sun to partial shade with shelter from strong winds.
Eventual height up to 3 metres and spread up to 2 meters.
