This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.

Hydraqngea aspera Hot Chocolate has beautiful large lace cap flower heads which have violet blue buds at the heart with soft pink outer blooms flowering May to October. Sumptuous chocolate brown foliage with burgundy undersides which fade to deep green later in the season. Easy to grow in most soils. Hardy.
