This Hydrangea is a deciduous plant so during the the dormant season autumn winter it will lose all its leaves shooting new growth in the spring.
Hydrangea arborescens Ruby Annabelle is a newer compact version of Annabelle with toothed dark green leaves. Large clusters of reddish pink flowers open from July lasting through to September becoming yellow green as the season progresses. A compact, bushy upright shrub with a long flowering season. Good for larger pots, low hedging or borders. Attractive to butterflies. Hardy. Suitable for full sun or part shade conditions. Prune in March for a well branched shrub.
